The North Bay Country Dance Society (NBCDS) teaches and administers regular and challenging American dances which include Contra Dance and English Country Dance. These dances are easy, very fun, friendly and inclusive. All dances are taught and prompted with live music! No experience is necessary for the non-challenging dances. Those dances that are challenging, are noted on our calendar. Come alone or bring a friend- no partner is ever required. Wear comfortable clothes and dance shoes that are low heeled and smooth soled.

Once a year in June NBCDS hosts a weekend long event titled “Faultline Frolic” whereby musicians and dancers come from across the United states to participate in three days of Contra fun. Check our calendar and website for this special event.
